Today mark’s the first day of my Instagram takeover for Whole Foods Charlestown. To kick things off (and to get you all excited for the Food Photography 101 class that I’ll be teaching next week), I’ve whipped up some healthy and easy recipes that are perfect for just about anyone.
First up is this killer Avocado Super Smoothie. When I make smoothies, I typically just throw anything in my kitchen into a blender and call it a day. For this one, I decided to slow down and really be thoughtful about the ingredients I chose. For example, lucuma is a superfruit similar to acai that packs health benefits and acts as a natural sweetener. When added to this smoothie, I noticed that it thickens the batch and mixes in with the avocado for a delicious, creamy flavor. That natural sweetness coupled with a variety of fresh fruit makes for an outstanding, end of summer treat. Enjoy!
1 Small Banana
Sprig of Mint
2 tsp Lucuma Powder
Handful of Ice
1 cup Water
Put all ingredients in blender
Blend/Mix together until desired consistency is achieved
Pour and enjoy!
