If you ask me, there is nothing better in this world than a creative person with a passion for helping others achieve happiness. That’s exactly what Jennifer Ciraulo decided to do when she launched her company, Blooming Lotus Jewelry, in 2010. Since it’s conception, Jennifer has grown Blooming Lotus Jewelry into a widely-known company that focuses on meaningful Yoga practice and quality, handmade pieces.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with Jennifer and Monica on a three part series to model some of her hand-knotted malas. At the culmination of the series, our beautiful contributor Alex will be featuring a piece on her own Yoga practice and giving you a more in depth explanation of what a mala is and how she uses them (you definitely don’t want to miss that!). In the meantime, these are the pieces that are featured in this first installment of the series:

Serenity Mala – Soothing gemstones and soft colors to instill feelings of calm, tranquility, stillness and peace. Accept the things you cannot change, let it go and give space for what makes your soul happy

Chakra Bracelets – The chakras act like a ladder to love, spirituality and healing, from the base energy of the Root Chakra that anchors us to the more refined spiritual energy of the Crown Chakra.

Full Moon Mala – The full moon is the time to release, celebrate and take action on your intentions that were set at the new moon. It is the time to shed what no longer serves you. Give yourself the time acknowledge these feelings and release them. The Full Moon brings increased energy and heightened emotions so take this time to rest, cleanse, meditate and connect with yourself. The brightness of the moon represents abundance, prosperity and healing energy. Reflect, breathe deep and take some time to let the moonbeams in.

Soulmate Mala – Rhodochrosite opens the Heart Chakra, Anahata. Awakens love and and is thought to attract one’s soul mate. Alleviates stress while encouraging you to face your emotions and carry a positive attitude toward life and love.
