I love to shop. Something about selecting the perfect new article of clothing to add to my arsenal of external self-expression just gets me going. Who doesn’t love a little retail adrenaline, amiright?! What I don’t love is how my bank account looks after purchasing that gorgeous dress that I just HAD to have.

Fortunately, I’m not the only one who feels this way. Brass Clothing, created by Jay Hallstein and Katie Doyle, aims to take the middle man out of the retail process, making consumer prices much more manageable to digest. By working directly with their manufacturers and selling directly to their customers, Brass is truly revolutionizing the way women shop.

I’ve been a fan of Brass for a while now. You may remember this winter outfit featuring a killer white trench coat and the black Brass shirt dress. It was the perfect dress for any occasion during the treacherous snow storms – professional, cute and warm (especially with tights!). Now, Brass is back with a whole new line including a gorgeous black maxi dress and the shirt dress in a chambray!

Worried that you don’t have the right style to rock Brass? Fear not – Emily of Shell Chic’d and I teamed up to show you how Brass is a great fit for anyone who wants to look good. Emily is always put together and somehow manages to look effortless and classic no matter the occasion. I, on the other hand, tend to gravitate towards a more relaxed, bohemian look (I’m also 95% guaranteed to be sweating if the temperature is above 70 degrees). Even with our opposite styles, we both loved every dress and felt that it could work with our personalities.
