When Altos Tequila reached out about a partnership, I couldn’t say no. Something about a family-oriented business with a focus on fun and community just gets me going. In the spirit of gathering to have a good time with people you care about, I decided to whip up a delicious cocktail (with the help of contributor and resident mixologist, Heather Flueckiger). Whether you’re a host or a quest, this Hibiscus Ginger Margarita is the perfect compliment to any Cinco de Mayo celebration!

HIBISCUS GINGER MARGARITA

1 part Altos Tequila (works with any type of Altos)

2 parts Hibiscus Tea

Splash of Ginger Kombucha (to taste)

Squeeze of lime

Half rim of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt

Mix and serve over ice

(serves 1)

In addition to recipe creation, I also helped market the #AltosBodega pop-up event in Denver! The pop-up is traveling across the country celebrating the importance of la familia with hand-crafted spirits and good times. I had a blast bringing some friends together to tear up the dance floor with me. We took advantage of the neon lights, perfectly curated details and fun bodega entrance (perfect for photos as well). As usual, we made some new friends too and roped them into being silly with us. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll just let you scroll through the carousel to experience the evening for yourself.
