On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, I hosted my first Sweetgreen Passport Class!

As some of you may remember, I was first connected to Sweetgreen through Lucy Litman and the Sweetgreen #TasteTheSeason supper. It was Lucy who then put me in touch with Rachel, the Community Manager for the Boston region. Rachel and I met up to brainstorm a couple weeks before the event over and before I knew it, the email was out and the list was full!

The discussion consisted of an hour filled with Social Media basics with a focus on Instagram and growing your follower base with engaging content. We talked hashtags, filters, apps, timing, style – anything that a blogger or social media addict would ever want to know. After that, we moved on to food styling and I demonstrated how I like to create my content. Once the educational portion of the event was over, Rachel and I split the group into teams to compete in a food styling,  Instagram challenge. The winning team had their photo featured on the Mass Musings Instagram and went home with some awesome Sweetgreen swag.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Rachel and all of the friends, bloggers, Bostonians and Sweetgreen lovers who came out to learn. I’m so proud to say that we filled the entire Sweetgreen Fort Point location and had the first Boston event where men were in attendance! This was such an incredible opportunity for me and has already propelled me forward in directions that I never expected.
