If you ask me, there is nothing better in this world than a creative person with a passion for helping others achieve happiness. That’s exactly what Jennifer Ciraulo decided to do when she launched her company, Blooming Lotus Jewelry, in 2010. Since it’s conception, Jennifer has grown Blooming Lotus Jewelry into a widely-known company that focuses on meaningful Yoga practice and quality, handmade pieces.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with Jennifer and Monica on a three part series to model some of her hand-knotted malas. At the culmination of the series, our beautiful contributor Alex will be featuring a piece on her own Yoga practice and giving you a more in depth explanation of what a mala is and how she uses them (you definitely don’t want to miss that!). In the meantime, these are the pieces that are featured in this second installment of the series:

Open Heart Mala – The Heart Chakra guides us to accept the oneness of all life. It is concerned with unity, love, peace, purity and innocence. Through loving we radiate joy, peace, love and unity.

Take Me To The Sea Mala – Stunning African Turquoise is actually a form of Jasper found in Africa. Jasper is known as a supreme protector. It confers courage and determination, encouraging a warrior spirit. Purifies and aligns the chakras, balances the yin yang energies, absorbs negativity, offers support in times of conflict.

Free Spirit Mala – Amazonite contributes to the development of intuition and encourages communication (opens the Throat Chakra/Vishuddha). Emits strong soothing energy, helping to dissipate worry, fear and anger and helps to balance your mood.
