It’s 2016 and I’ve got big goals for the year ahead. Towards the end of last year I felt very creatively deprived, completely stuck in a rut and overall just off. After much overthinking and a lot of work, I feel as though I’m finally on the other side of it and the New Year was the perfect symbolic beginning of a new era.

Recently, I’ve been planning a lot of really cool and creative collaborations. I finally feel as though I’m back in my groove and taking Mass Musings to the next level. What can you expect in 2016? More robust and unique music collaborations, more editorial shoots and videos segments, as well as a growing community and tribe on both coasts.

To kick off this new wave of motivation and focus, I spent the week in NYC working on collaborations and gaining inspiration for my own personal style. Not only did I score some sick thrift store threads, but I added the Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn Kyoto 2 shoe to my collection. While it is a little chilly to wear an open toe, I found that I was completely comfortable as long as I layered up. What I love most about these booties is the stacked heel and the way the leather moves with my foot – it’s almost as if it’s draping gracefully from the top of my ankle to my toe – I love it.

So what’s new for you in 2016? Do you have any resolutions or goals that you’re vowing to stick to this year? Regardless of your stance on what the New Year means, I hope that it’s happy, healthy, and productive. Cheers!

    • Thanks Shirley! It’s nice to know I’m not the only one that experiences a rut. Hope the reinvention is going well 🙂
