Until recently, I haven’t been able to enjoy coffee unless it’s iced. My reasoning is simple: I want to be able to ingest the caffeine as quickly as possible so that I can get on with my day and attempt productivity. If I could just inject the coffee through an IV, I’m sure that my morning emails would get read a lot faster.

As you can imagine, my love of iced coffee has led me to discover some of the best places in town. While it may not be important that I always drink the best iced coffee, I certainly can still appreciate the distinctions in taste while I’m chugging. Therefore, I’ve rounded up my top 5 favorite spots to snag iced coffee in Boston for your convenience. Maybe one day my tastes in coffee will mature and refine… but not likely.

Render Coffee – I love this place not only for their coffee but for the friendly service and great atmosphere. Except to wait a few minutes for specialty drinks and food though. Not for commuters in a rush.

Pavement Coffee – This is my “slow on Sunday morning” go-to. The wifi sadly isn’t free, but if you’re a regular, you can buy a package for the month and post up with your coffee and crush work surrounded by local art.

Boston Common Coffee – Maybe my favorite iced coffee place in Boston (in terms of flavor and yummy goodness). Everything you want a coffee shop to be.

South End Buttery – I’ve never seen so many dogs walk past a coffee shop in my life, and if you know me at all, that’s enough to make the actual coffee obsolete. However, the coffee is the bomb dot com too so this place is a sure winner.

Dunkin Donuts – Don’t judge me. Dunkin coffee is the elixir of life and if you don’t agree with me, I don’t care. I love it.

  1. Have you tried nitro cold brew? It’s THE BEST! Iced coffee on draft? Yes please! I had some at Sunny Boy in Brookline, but I’m sure there’s a few other spots that have it too 🙂
