One of my favorite parts of summer fashion is finding new ways to style a dress. Many times I find that by the time I’ve curated all of my accessories and decided on what lip color I want to wear, I look like I’m heading to the opera instead of frolicking around the city with friends. Luckily, my experimentation with proportion and accessories has paid off, allowing me to present you with the perfect dress for all summer occasions.

For my body type, structure typically looks best. By choosing a style with a defined waist and flattering length, I automatically look more put together than if I were to choose a flowing frock. To add a little glam, I chose a simple statement necklace and kept the rest of my jewelry simple. To keep things under control, I decided on a dark mint colored clutch and finished the look with a headband that tied all of the colors together without completely overwhelming the eye. If I wanted to dress this look up for evening, I would throw on some chunky heels or wedges. Instead, I stuck with my original plan and slipped on my simple, neutral flats and ran outside to enjoy the last few hours of sun!

  1. Beautiful! Love this color purse with the pink.

    • me too! The bow on it is my favorite 🙂

  2. These sweet look is a gorgeous sendoff to summer. The neutrals are a lovely transition to fall and offers a soft palate for layering. The simple flats and accenting jewelry offer an easy complement to the playful dress silhouette.
