Ahhhh #sweetlife2015. If you’re into music at all, you’re aware of the good vibes and positive energy that are generated at a festival. It’s a time to kick back, let go of your worries and stresses, and truly connect with the people around you through music. I’ve found that humans relate on a very deep level through two things: music and food. Thus, sweetgreen totally nailed it on the head with their food and music festival, sweetlife

Hosted at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, the festival boasted acts such as Bleachers, Misterwives, Calvin Harris, Tove Lo, Kendrick Lamar and many more. The artists 100% brought their A game and absolutely threw down all weekend. Not only did I get to see some of my favorites, but I was also able to catch a bunch of the shows that I hadn’t seen before. Perhaps my favorite part of the weekend though was being able to watch my friend, Katie, experience her first festival. I remember my first festival affecting me in such a way that it changed my life. Like I said, there’s just something about that energy! Looking over during Calvin Harris and seeing her smiling bigger than I’d ever seen, moving to the music with thousands of other people and just loving life was such a treat. I’ll never forget that moment.

Obviously another integral part of festivals is the fashion! Throughout the weekend I wandered the grounds snapping photos of people whose outfits caught my eye. I’m not joking when I say I literally chased some people down to take their photos (If you were one of those, I’m not sorry – it was so worth it!). Scroll through the entire album (there’s lots of photos) to check out the digital/disposable hybrid of festival goodness. If you see yourself or a friend, please tag them in the comments!

Thanks so much to sweetgreen for this incredible opportunity and a fantastic weekend!
