I try to buy from small businesses whenever I can, especially when they sell goods that are made in America. That’s why I’m so excited to share with you one of my new favorite stores, Wander. Founded in 2015 by Laura Mackin, Wander is part traveling boutique, part online shop and carries a curated collection of American made home goods, gifts and accessories.

The thing that draws me the most to Wander is their dedication to connecting the customer with not only the maker, but also the inspiration and creative process behind each piece that they sell. For example, when I chose to receive the Adana Throw from Happy Habitat (via Wander), I picked it for its gorgeous color but also because it is eco-friendly and comes from a maker that poured hours of passion into her products. Also, the product description said that it was “perfect for one blanket hog, or two people that like to snuggle.” No brainer, right?

To properly show the amazingness that is the Adana Throw, I enlisted the help of my friend Diana and invaded my friend Steve’s apartment. He has the most glorious fireplace facade and perfectly large windows that let in plenty of South End sunshine. We had a great time goofing around and trying every possible use for the blanket (*hint* it’s perfect for making forts too!).

If you want to get your hands on some Wander goods, you’re in luck! The Wander Truck will be making semi-regular appearances at SoWa Market during the Spring/Summer months – to see all of the tour dates, click here – can’t make it to Boston? Shop online here!
